I've been wanting to be a freelance writer a la
Nicole Dieker or
Ester Bloom of
The Billfold for over a year now. This is the year that I do that. I'm not completely sure where to start, how to find my way in. I will be blogging about my journey to being a professional writer. My goal is 75% freelance writing, 20% social media management and 5% other. I find the breakdown of numbers important, however I don't feel comfortable sharing every number like
Nicole Dieker or
Sonya Ellen Mann so I will give ball park figures-how many publications I pitched, how many acceptances/rejections. Please ask questions as I go along. We're all figuring this out together.
